The client was found to be in possession of 150 lbs. of marijuana during an interstate traffic stop of his RV. The prosecutor made a suspiciously good offer before trial. Rather than accept the offer, Ruth investigated further to see if she could find why such a good offer was made. After working hard to make sure that all of the evidence in the case was properly presented during discovery, Ruth found that the arresting department had made some errors in their handling of the evidence and she filed a motion for all charges to be dismissed. The prosecution agreed to dismiss all charges before the motion was even heard.
