The client was allegedly witnessed by an undercover police officer selling cocaine in a bar. Uniformed officers subsequently found cocaine and marijuana in his vehicle. The body camera footage of the search was very difficult to obtain, but Ruth persisted and when she got it she found a gap in the footage during the period the cocaine was found. Based on this, and discrepancies in both the written report and testimony from the officers at a motion hearing, Ruth was able to get all charges reduced to a misdemeanor marijuana possession with a $300 fine.
